Soccer Recap: Yucaipa Comes Up Short

If Yucaipa was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Cajon last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Yucaipa Thunderbirds fell just short of the Citrus Valley Blackhawks by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. The Thunderbirds were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Blackhawks earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Yucaipa's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8-1. As for Citrus Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 4-10-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Yucaipa will head out to face off against Beaumont at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Beaumont is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.5 goals per game this season. As for Citrus Valley, they will venture away from home to challenge Redlands at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Citrus Valley is facing Redlands at the right time seeing as Redlands is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
