Basketball Recap: Coudersport Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Coudersport can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 77-32 loss at the hands of the Bishop Carroll Huskies. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while the Huskies are ranked 56th).

Bishop Carroll was led to victory by Ava Pablic and Adelyn Myers. Pablic shot 50% from the field to rack up 20 points in addition to seven assists and seven boards, while Myers went 10-for-15 en route to 24 points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave Pablic a new career-high in assists. Caroline Golden was another key player, shooting 86% from the field on her way to 12 points.

Coudersport's loss dropped their record down to 19-9. As for Bishop Carroll, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Coudersport nor Bishop Carroll have any future games scheduled.
