Softball Recap: Model Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Thursday just wasn't the day for Model's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 8-0 to the Heard County Braves, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Blue Devils were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Braves earlier this season, when they won 7-2.

Model's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 11-2. As for Heard County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Model is set to square off against their familiar foe Pepperell at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Heard County will face off against rival Haralson County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Braves 3.3, the Rebels 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
