Soccer Recap: Coronado Comes Up Short

Despite a strong season so far, Coronado has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cathedral Catholic Dons. If Coronado were looking for revenge after losing 7-0 to Cathedral Catholic when the teams met back in January of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Coronado's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Cathedral Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3-2 record this season.

Coronado will face off against Patrick Henry at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Coronado will need to watch out since Patrick Henry have now posted at least four goals in their last three matchups. As for Cathedral Catholic, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Academy of Our Lady of Peace at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
