It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Peach County ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 12-4 margin over the Ware County Gators. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won 17 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Jaden Jones looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February of 2024.

On the hitting side, Xavion Childs and Zion Hudson did most of the damage at the plate: Childs scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3, while Hudson scored two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Those three runs gave Childs a new career-high. Scout Willingham was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-6.

Peach County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
