Softball Game Preview: Chinle Wildcats vs. Page Sand Devils

Chinle is 2-8 against Page since March of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Wildcats will host the Sand Devils at 3:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Chinle is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest win since April 9, 2025 on Saturday. They won by a run and slipped past Navajo Prep 6-5.

Meanwhile, Page had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They put the hurt on the Fighting Scouts with a sharp 14-2 victory. That's two games straight that the Sand Devils have won by exactly 12 runs.

The win got Page back to even at 8-8-1. As for Chinle, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.

Chinle couldn't quite get it done against Page in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 as they fell 7-2. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
