It was a good run, but East Coweta unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Newnan Cougars by a score of 4-3. East Coweta was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Newnan apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

East Coweta's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-11. As for Newnan, they pushed their record up to 27-3 with that win, which was their 17th straight at home.
