Basketball Recap: Pipestem Christian Academy Sets Scoring Season-High Against Greater Beckley Christian

Pipestem Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Greater Beckley Christian Crusaders, falling 55-31. One positive for the Panthers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Despite the defeat, Pipestem Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Michaela Bean went 6 of 10 en route to 12 points. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for Bean.

Leah Adkins continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Greater Beckley Christian, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 11 steals. Adkins' evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Destyni Farrish, who posted 11 points along with seven steals and five boards.

Pipestem Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Greater Beckley Christian, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-7.

Pipestem Christian Academy has already played their next contest, a 78-19 defeat against Summit Christian Academy on the 16th. As for Greater Beckley Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 53-31 victory against Montcalm on the 23rd.
