Volleyball Recap: Fremont Comes Up Short

Fremont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bennington Badgers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.

Camryn Brandt paced Fremont's offense, picking up three kills. Brandt also shared the team's lead in assists with Everleigh Kerkman: they picked up two each.

Fremont now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Bennington, they moved to 5-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Fremont will venture away from home to challenge Kearney at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bennington has already played their next game (against Gretna), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
