Baseball Recap: Wayne Comes Up Short

Wayne fell victim to Chapmanville Regional and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The Pioneers have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Wayne saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trai Hayton, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Wayne's record now sits at 8-22. As for Chapmanville Regional, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-21.

Coming up, Wayne will welcome Man at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chapmanville Regional, they will venture away from home to square off against Oak Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
