Bishop dropped down to 4-5 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They were outmatched by the Raymondville Bearkats and fell 56-14. The Badgers were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Although Bishop took the loss, they still got scores from Kobe Ruiz and Eric Owens.

As for Raymondville, they pushed their record up to 9-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.8 points on average over those games.

It was another big night for Traeshaun Washington, who rushed for 103 yards and four scores on only 13 carries, and also picked up 52 receiving yards and one TD.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Bishop will face off against rival Falfurrias at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Raymondville is set to square off against their familiar foe Santa Gertrudis Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
