Winnebago and Genoa-Kingston are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2022, but likely not for long. The Indians will face off against the Cogs at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Winnebago will be strutting in after a win while Genoa-Kingston will be coming in after a loss.

Winnebago gave up the first runs on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They were the clear victors by a 16-3 margin over Rock Falls. Considering the Indians have won nine games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Genoa-Kingston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Byron. That's two games in a row now that the Cogs have lost by exactly five runs.

Genoa-Kingston's loss dropped their record down to 12-17. As for Winnebago, their victory bumped their record up to 17-11.

Winnebago couldn't quite finish off Genoa-Kingston in their previous meeting back in April and fell 5-3. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
