South Effingham has gone a perfect 6-0 against Evans recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Mustangs will be playing at home against the Knights at 4:30 p.m. The timing is sure in South Effingham's favor as the squad sits on 14 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Evans has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.
South Effingham had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the nine-run drubbing they dealt Jeff Davis on Saturday. The Mustangs never let the Yellowjackets get on the board and left with a 9-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won ten contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
South Effingham gave Kelsee Collins the start and clearly made the right call: she pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. What's more, Collins posted three strikeouts, the most she's had since back in August.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Sydney Minshall, who went 2-for-4 with five RBI, one triple, and one run. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Olivia Johnson, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Evans not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since September 2nd (when they won 17-0). They were the clear victors by a 17-2 margin over Thomson. With that victory, the Knights brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Braedyn Quarles was incredible, going 1-for-2 with five RBI and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Serenity Campos, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one run.
Evans always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .720. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
South Effingham's win bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Evans, their victory bumped their record up to 8-13.
Everything went South Effingham's way against Evans in their previous matchup back in August of 2023, as South Effingham made off with an 8-0 win. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
