Baseball Recap: Wantagh Gets the Win

Wantagh extended their postseason success on Monday against Wheatley. They walked away with an 11-7 victory over the Wildcats. That's the fifth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 15-5 victory on Saturday.

Ryan Tullo was incredible, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Vinny Napolitano, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

The win made it two in a row for Wantagh and bumps their season record up to 19-6-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Wheatley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.

As of now, neither Wantagh nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
