Basketball Recap: Santa Monica Takes a Loss

Santa Monica lost against Culver City back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Santa Monica Vikings fell 53-42 to the Culver City Centaurs. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Santa Monica's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Culver City, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Santa Monica will head out to take on Hawthorne at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Santa Monica is facing Hawthorne at the right time seeing as Hawthorne is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Culver City, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Leuzinger at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Leuzinger has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
