Basketball Game Preview: Burlingame Panthers vs. Hillsdale FIGHTING KNIGHTS

Burlingame is 1-9 against Hillsdale since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Burlingame Panthers will venture away from home to take on the Hillsdale FIGHTING KNIGHTS at 3:00 p.m. Burlingame is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.

It was a proper cat-fight when Burlingame challenged Woodside on Friday. Burlingame walked away with a 44-34 victory over Woodside. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 338th, while the Wildcats are ranked 755th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Half Moon Bay typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Hillsdale proved too difficult a challenge. They enjoyed a cozy 60-46 win over the Cougars.

Burlingame pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points per game. As for Hillsdale, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season.

Burlingame came up short against Hillsdale in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 43-33. Can Burlingame avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
