Volleyball Recap: Northwest Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Gyntre Fletcher and Reese Johnson

Northwest was the 2-1 winner over Eisenhower when they last played one another last Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Grizzlies fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Grizzlies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Northwest's loss came despite strong showings from Reese Johnson and Gyntre Fletcher. Johnson had 15 digs and one assist, while Fletcher had eight digs and two aces. Fletcher has been hot for a while, having also posted 13 or more assists the last 24 times she's played.

Taylor Morgan was a one-woman wrecking crew For Eisenhower. as she had 28 digs and seven assists. That's the most digs Morgan has posted since back in August.

Northwest's loss dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Eisenhower, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.
