Volleyball Recap: Porter Ridge Comes Up Short + How To Watch

The Porter Ridge Pirates came up short against the Charlotte Catholic Cougars on Thursday and fell 3-1. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Porter Ridge started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 27-29, 25-11, 25-16, 25-21.

Charlotte Catholic was led to victory by Brynley Wylde and Dani Lupinski. Wylde had 17 digs and two aces, while Lupinski had six kills. What's more, Lupinski also posted a 23.5% hitting percentage, which is the highest she's achieved over her last ten matches.

Porter Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Charlotte Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.

Coming up, Porter Ridge is taking a road trip to face off against Piedmont at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Charlotte Catholic, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Christ the King at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
