The Charlotte Catholic Cougars prevailed the host Porter Ridge Pirates volleyball squad by a final score of 3-1 in Thursday's league game.

Next up, the Cougars confront the Christ the King Crusaders (Huntersville, NC) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, September 2. Charlotte Catholic will attempt to advance on its 5-6 season record. The Crusaders enter the game with a 3-5 record after their 3-1 league win over Bradford Prep (Charlotte, NC).

The Pirates (4-6) will now prepare for their bout against Piedmont (Monroe, NC). The Panthers come into the Southern Carolina 6A/7A bout with a 2-2 record.
