The Charlotte Catholic Cougars volleyball team (Charlotte, NC), was knocked off 3-0 in Tuesday's league contest with the visiting Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC)

The Mavericks (12-2) will now prepare for their contest against Sun Valley (Monroe, NC). The Spartans go into the Southern Carolina 6A/7A battle with a 10-9 record. In their last battle, Sun Valley achieved victory over Piedmont (Monroe, NC), 3-0, in a league battle.

The Cougars now own a 5-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cuthbertson for a Southern Carolina 6A/7A challenge on Thursday, September 11. Charlotte Catholic will meet a Cavaliers team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Weddington (Matthews, NC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 10-4.
