Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Ridgeview

Ridgeview waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 49-43 W against the Independence Falcons. For the Wolf Pack, this counts as revenge for the 39-32 win the Falcons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.

Ridgeview got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Victoria Smith-Chaplin out in front who posted three points and 15 boards. Those 15 rebounds gave Smith-Chaplin a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nyla Jackson, who had nine points and five assists.

Ridgeview now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Independence, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Ridgeview will take on Atascadero in a holiday battle at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Independence, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Kerman at 10:30 a.m. on the 27th.
