Baseball Game Preview: Fellowship Christian Paladins vs. Druid Hills Red Devils

The Fellowship Christian Paladins will face off against the Druid Hills Red Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fellowship Christian will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Fellowship Christian proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by nine) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Glynn Academy 6-4.

Luke Stefl looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Fellowship Christian's victory was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Tristan Costoulas, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI. That's the most RBI Costoulas has posted since back in March of 2024. Walker Waggoner was another, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Druid Hills was not the first on the board on Monday, but they got there more often. They walked away with an 8-4 win over Lakeside. The Red Devils have beaten the Vikings the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Vikings has come to flipping the script.

The victory got Druid Hills back to even at 1-1. As for Fellowship Christian, their record now sits at 3-0.

Everything went Fellowship Christian's way against Druid Hills when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Fellowship Christian made off with a 15-5 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fellowship Christian since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
