Soccer Recap: Porterville Comes Up Short

Porterville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the El Diamante Miners. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by just one goal.

Porterville now has a losing record at 7-8-4. As for El Diamante, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-9-1.

Porterville will host Mt. Whitney at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Porterville is facing Mt. Whitney at the right time seeing as Mt. Whitney is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for El Diamante, they are taking a road trip to face off against Redwood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Redwood will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something El Diamante surely won't give up without a fight.
