Linville Hill pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.2 points per game. As for Conestoga Christian, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Conestoga Christian took a serious blow against Linville Hill in their previous meeting back in January, falling 55-12. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Conestoga Christian was down 34-10.
