Soccer Game Preview: Silver Creek vs. Christopher

The Silver Creek Raiders are taking a road trip to challenge the Christopher Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped with close wins against their previous opponents.

If Christopher heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Silver Creek took over last week. Silver Creek had just enough and edged Live Oak out 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raiders.

Natalia Niebles and Evelyn Delgadillo scored all three of Silver Creek's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 20 goals.

Meanwhile, Christopher kept a clean sheet against Evergreen Valley on Thursday. They had just enough and edged the Cougars out 1-0.

Christopher was without their leading scorer, Malia Harding, in Thursday's game. With Harding sitting this one out, Adalyn Mosher got some extra time on the pitch (80 vs. her season average of 46.7).

Silver Creek now has a winning record of 5-4-1. As for Christopher, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3-2 record this season.
