Football Recap: Weequahic Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Weequahic lost against Cedar Grove back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Indians took a 23-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers.

Cedar Grove can attribute much of their success to Pierce Asfalg, who rushed for 45 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 119 yards and one TD while completing 76.5% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Asfalg a new career-high in passer rating (114.6).

Weequahic's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Cedar Grove, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Weequahic and Cedar Grove will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Indians will challenge rival Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Cedar Grove is set to take on their familiar foe Verona at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
