Gunn lost to Mountain View back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Gunn Titans narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Mountain View Spartans 38-35. The win was nothing new for the Titans as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Mountain View's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kamya Patwardhan, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 11 boards. Another player making a difference was Fiona Lee, who posted eight points in addition to five assists and five rebounds.

Gunn's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.8 points over those games. As for Mountain View, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-4.

Gunn wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 41-13 win against MacDonald on the 18th. As for Mountain View, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 56-30 victory against Palo Alto on the 18th.
