Baseball Recap: Washington-Liberty Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Washington-Liberty can now relate to. They fell just short of the Centreville Wildcats by a score of 4-3 on Thursday. The Generals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Washington-Liberty saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tommy Keane, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Washington-Liberty has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-13 record this season. As for Centreville, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 18-3.

As of now, neither Washington-Liberty nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
