Soccer Recap: Johnson Comes Up Short

After flying high against Liberty County last Tuesday, Johnson came back down to earth. The Johnson Atomsmashers fell just short of the Calvary Day Cavaliers by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Atomsmashers of the 6-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Their goal came courtesy of Waswa Drajoru, who's now up to 12 this season.

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 8-5. As for Calvary Day, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Johnson has already played their next match, a 4-3 win against Battery Creek on the 10th. As for Calvary Day, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Jenkins on the 11th.
