Softball Recap: Lincoln Southeast Knights vs. Lincoln Northeast Rockets

Lincoln Southeast extended their losing streak to 17 on Monday, dropping them down to 2-20. They lost 11-1 to the Lincoln Northeast Rockets. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Knights couldn't push the score so high this time.

Lincoln Southeast saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addilynn Foley, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

As for Lincoln Northeast, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-14. They not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since August 28th (when they won 18-0).

On Lincoln Northeast's side, Dezi Swenson was incredible, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave Swenson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn VanDyke, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lincoln Southeast is set to challenge their familiar foe Columbus at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Lincoln Northeast will square off against rival Lincoln North Star at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
