Basketball Game Preview: Encinal Jets vs. Berkeley Yellowjackets

Having just played yesterday, the Encinal Jets will get right back to it and host the Berkeley Yellowjackets at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Encinal turned things around against Castro Valley on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Trojans 46-43. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Jets have posted since January 9th.

Meanwhile, Berkeley didn't have too much trouble with Arroyo on Tuesday as they won 42-25.

Berkeley's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Encinal, their win bumped their record up to 8-13.

Everything came up roses for Encinal against Berkeley in their previous matchup back in February of 2025, as the squad secured a 59-27 victory. Do the Jets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Yellowjackets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
