Soccer Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Anderson

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Anderson had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They never let the Oroville Tigers onto the board and left with a 3-0 win. The Cubs better thank their lucky stars for the performance of Emelia Jones, as she scored every single goal for her team.

The victory made it two in a row for Anderson and bumps their season record up to 6-13. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two contests. As for Oroville, they dropped their record down to 6-20 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road.

Coming up, Anderson will venture away from home to face off against Orland at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Orland knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Anderson likes a good challenge. Oroville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
