Bethlehem Academy scaled the state rankings by moving to 92 from 129 this week, the biggest jump in Gopher Valley A. The Cardinals were able to move up by besting Blooming Prairie 28-20.
Bethlehem Academy led the league in scoring this week after putting up 28 points on the Awesome Blossoms. Christian VonRuden ran for 254 yards during the win.
Bethlehem Academy's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cardinals feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Kollin Hanson has thrown for 1,125 yards and 13 touchdowns this season, while Joe Matejcek has 20 catches for 489 yards.
VonRuden of the denny glen's team is only 18 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 130 carries VonRuden has accumulated 982 yard this year.
The Cardinals made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,291 from 6,625. The improvement was the result of a 28-20 victory over Blooming Prairie last week.
