Basketball Recap: Columbia County Christian Snags Eighth Victory in Last Nine Games

Columbia County Christian hadn't done well against Meadowbrook Christian recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Columbia County Christian walked away with a 36-23 victory over Meadowbrook Christian. This was a revenge game for Columbia County Christian: when they faced off against Meadowbrook Christian back in December of 2024, they had to take a 44-35 loss.

Columbia County Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lily DuMond, who posted 15 points. Ashleigh Boudman was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Several Meadowbrook Christian players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kaylee Ward, who earned four points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Millett, who scored six points along with 11 boards and three steals.

Columbia County Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 16.4 points per game. As for Meadowbrook Christian, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7.

Columbia County Christian will take on Neumann Regional Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Columbia County Christian's defense has only allowed 20.3 points per game this season, so Neumann Regional Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Meadowbrook Christian, they will square off against Northumberland Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
