Recap: El Toro Chargers vs. Capistrano Valley Cougars
The El Toro Chargers can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. They breezed by Capistrano Valley at home to the tune of 63-15. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win El Toro has managed all season.
Leading El Toro to victory were Mariana Mina and Camryn Bradshaw. Mina dropped a double-double on ten points and ten assists, while Bradshaw scored 20 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bradshaw has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bridget Boyd, who scored 13 points.
El Toro is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. As for Capistrano Valley, their defeat was their 13th straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-12.
El Toro will face off against Mission Viejo at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mission Viejo is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Capistrano Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Dana Hills at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Dana Hills' favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matches.
