On the hitting side, Jacob Rachmann was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Emmanuel Huizer was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4.

Riverdale pushed their record up to 7-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing 8.67 hits in those games compared to only 3.78 in the others. North Clayton's tie gives them a new season record of 1-8-1.

Riverdale's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: North Clayton hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .358. It's a different story for Riverdale, though, as they've only averaged .255. Will they be able to contain North Clayton's hitters?

North Clayton suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to Riverdale in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can North Clayton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
