Soccer Recap: Jserra Catholic Has No Trouble Against Ayala

After low-scoring totals in their previous five contests, JSerra Catholic brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. Their defense stepped up to hand the Ayala Bulldogs a 5-0 shutout on Thursday. The match marked the Lions' most dominant victory of the season so far.

They hit Ayala with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Sydney Schuler (2), Kaylee Hanna, Shay Goddard, and Bria Johnson.

JSerra Catholic moved to 5-3-1 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Ayala, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Redlands East Valley the next time they take the pitch. Ayala will host Redlands East Valley at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, while JSerra Catholic will head out to face them at 8:00 a.m. on Friday.
