Huntington Park wins going away against Bravo

Recap: Huntington Park Spartans vs. Bravo Knights

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Huntington Park Spartans walked away with it. They strolled past the Knights with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 34-18. Huntington Park didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this victory makes it their second in a row.

Among those leading the charge was Juana Vargas, who scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season.

Huntington Park is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-18 record this season. As for Bravo, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-16.

Huntington Park will be playing at home against Cleveland at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Huntington Park will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 925th, while Cleveland is ranked 368th). Bravo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
