Basketball Game Preview: Sweetwater Red Devils vs. Bayfront Charter Sharks

The Sweetwater Red Devils will head out to take on the Bayfront Charter Sharks at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Bayfront Charter took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Sweetwater, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with five losses in a row dating back to last season, Sweetwater turned things around against Monte Vista on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 38-14 margin over the Monarchs. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 25-3.

Among those leading the charge was Delcy Maciel, who posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Leilyn Goldberg, who earned 11 points.

Meanwhile, Bayfront Charter was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 40-35 to San Ysidro.

Sweetwater's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Bayfront Charter, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
