Football Recap: Cair Paravel Takes a Loss

Cair Paravel extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 1-3. They took a hard 21-7 fall against the Mission Valley Vikings. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 46-22 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

As for Mission Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.0 points over those games.

Jake Mills had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 76 yards and one score, while also throwing for 157 yards and a pair of TDs. Those 76 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Cair Paravel wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 53-25 loss against Wabaunsee on the 3rd. As for Mission Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-6 defeat against Rossville on the 3rd.
