Basketball Recap: Boyertown Comes Up Short

Boyertown played a tough contest on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 76-28 loss at the hands of the Perkiomen Valley Vikings. The Bears were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 54-13.

Boyertown lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Madelyn Weaver, who posted nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Engler, who put up nine points.

Grace GALBAVY was her usual excellent self, going 6 for 7 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points for Perkiomen Valley. The matchup was GALBAVY's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Lauren BINKOWSKI also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Boyertown's record is now 7-9. As for Perkiomen Valley, their victory was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-2.

Boyertown wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 44-27 defeat against Methacton on the 23rd. As for Perkiomen Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 78-55 win against Archbishop Wood on the 20th.
