Football Game Preview: Flinthills Mustangs vs. Madison/Hamilton Bulldogs

Flinthills hasn't had much luck against Madison/Hamilton recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Mustangs will take on the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Flinthills has given up an average of 32.7 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Flinthills ended up a good deal behind Chase County and lost 62-48.

Flinthills might have lost, but man, Beau Hall was a machine: he rushed for 111 yards and three TDs, and also picked up 61 receiving yards and one score. Another player making a difference was Tripp Carney, who threw for 134 yards and three touchdowns.

Meanwhile, while Madison/Hamilton put up plenty of points back in September, the same can't be said for Yates Center. The Bulldogs simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Wildcats 46-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bulldogs' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas football rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Wildcats are ranked 84th).

Madison/Hamilton's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 4.0 points on average over those games. As for Flinthills, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Flinthills was taken down by Madison/Hamilton 52-6 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
