Basketball Game Preview: Glades Central Raiders vs. Moore Haven Terriers

The Glades Central Raiders are taking a road trip to challenge the Moore Haven Terriers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Wednesday, Glades Central didn't have too much trouble with Pahokee as they won 74-56. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 127th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 602nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, everything went Moore Haven's way against Lake Placid on Thursday as Moore Haven made off with a 62-36 victory. The Terriers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

Glades Central's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Moore Haven, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Glades Central strolled past Moore Haven in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a score of 64-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Glades Central since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
