Softball Recap: Wahoo's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Wahoo came out on top against Platteview on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run first inning. The Warriors never let the Trojans get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. Considering the Warriors have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Karryn Eddie was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. Avery Hanson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

The win snapped Wahoo's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 16-10 record. As for Platteview, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-10 record this season.

Wahoo will head out to face off against Norris at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Titans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Platteview, they will take on Mercy at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Monarchs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.87 runs per game on average), something the Trojans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
