Volleyball Recap: Weeki Wachee Takes a Loss

Weeki Wachee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Calvary Christian Warriors.

Weeki Wachee's offense was headlined by Marlee Schumacher and Bella Shields, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Kendyl Eastin and her five assists.

Olivia Badyna was the offensive standout of the match as she had eight digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (four). Peyton Slone also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Weeki Wachee's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Calvary Christian, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-1.

Weeki Wachee has already played their next matchup (against Florida State University High School), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Calvary Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Osceola on the 27th.
