It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Marquez can now relate to. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Kennedy Thunderbirds who were credited with the win on Tuesday. The Kennedy Thunderbirds got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Marquez Gladiators' one. Marquez's loss signaled the end of their 14-game winning streak.

Marquez's defeat dropped their record down to 18-8. As for Kennedy, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 19-5-2.

Marquez does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kennedy, they will head out to challenge Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
