Football Recap: Holton Gets the Win + How To Watch

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Holton had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top against the Frontenac Raiders by a score of 14-6. Those 14 points were actually the fewest the Wildcats have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Andrew Shupe had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 131 yards and one score on only 14 carries. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in September.

The victory made it two in a row for Holton and bumps their season record up to 6-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 18 points in those games. As for Frontenac, the defeat snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 8-2 record.

Looking ahead, Holton will square off against Santa Fe Trail on Friday. The Chargers' defense has only allowed 11.2 points per game this season, so the Wildcats' offense will have their work cut out for them. Frontenac does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
