Basketball Recap: Animo Pat Brown Takes a Loss

Animo Pat Brown played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Animo Watts Warriors, falling 65-21. The Gryphons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-8.

Animo Watts' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Trisha Hernandez, who went 8 of 17 on her way to 18 points along with eight assists and seven boards. That's the most assists Hernandez has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Caitlin Rosales, who went 11 of 16 en route to 22 points and eight rebounds.

Animo Pat Brown's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Animo Watts, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

Animo Pat Brown will challenge Triumph Charter at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Triumph Charter's defense has only allowed 25.3 points per game this season, so Animo Pat Brown's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Animo Watts, they will take on Burton at 12:15 p.m. on Friday. Animo Watts is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50 points per game this season.
