Recap: Don Lugo Conquistadores vs. Garey Vikings
The Don Lugo Conquistadores's game on Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They managed a 26-22 victory over Garey. For Don Lugo, this counts as revenge for the 43-37 loss Garey walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2019.
Leading Don Lugo to victory were Sienna Robles and Makena Encarnacion. Robles scored four points, while Encarnacion dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds. Encarnacion hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games.
Don Lugo has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Garey, their loss ended a 12-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 10-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Don Lugo will challenge Workman at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Garey won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Big Bear at 11:00 a.m. on December 16th. Big Bear has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 29.
