Alameda won the last time they faced Mitchell and things went their way on Saturday too. The Pirates put the hurt on the Marauders with a sharp 19-6 victory. Considering the Pirates have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Annalia Lucero was excellent, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, three doubles, and four RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was Kristell Guerra, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.
Alameda always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .622. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mitchell only posted an OBP of .348.
The win made it two in a row for Alameda and bumps their season record up to 13-9. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 21.5 runs over those games. As for Mitchell, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.
As of now, neither Alameda nor the Marauders have any future games scheduled.
